Build a practical AI marketing strategy for a small business: prioritise one use case, protect quality, measure value and avoid unnecessary tools.

Where should a small business begin with AI marketing?
Start with a repeated task that consumes meaningful time and has a clear standard. Examples include summarising approved research, turning one expert interview into draft formats or creating first-pass creative briefs.
Do not begin with an ambition to automate all marketing. Narrow pilots are easier to check, measure and improve.
How do you choose the right first use case?
Score possible tasks by frequency, effort, risk, input quality and ease of review. Prioritise work with reliable source material and a human who can judge the result.
Avoid sensitive or high-consequence uses until governance, permissions and specialist review are established.
What should the workflow look like?
Document the input, context, prompt, output format, source-checking step, editor and final destination. Save approved examples so quality does not depend on one person remembering a prompt.
Separate ideation from factual publication. Any external claim should be checked against a reliable source before use.
How should a growing business measure the pilot?
Compare time, revision effort, acceptance rate and quality against the previous process. Campaign results can be considered later, but they are influenced by many factors beyond the tool.
Keep the workflow only if it remains useful after review effort is counted.
